Let It Begin!

Well, here I go.  I've been thinking about starting...ahem...another blog...for a while now.  I really want to stay connected with other educators, and I love doing so through reading their blogs.  Hopefully I will also be able to share ideas of mine that will help other teachers and students along their way.

I am enjoying summer time with my lovely family, but I'm also anxious and excited for school to start next month!  This will be my last year of college!  FINALLY!  I started college in 2008, so this has been a long road.  However, I'm so very thankful that I took the time to discover what I truly want to be when I "grow up."  Had I started college right after I graduated high school, I would not have traveled down this path.  I'm so happy I found this road!  I'm not naive.  I realize that teaching is seriously hard work.  I think it was Mark Twain who said: "Teaching is like trying to hold 35 corks underwater at once."  I'm sure he's right, but anything worthwhile is hard work.  I'm okay with that.  I'm okay with blood, sweat, and tears.  An occupational hazard, I suppose.
